Men’s vintage denim runs small. Rule of thumb is to add 2-3 to your modern women’s size to approximate the waist, as a starting point.

Levi’s 517: First introduced in 1969 to wear over western boots, this style has a zip fly, standard rise, runs slim through the hips and thighs, and a boot-cut leg. A classic for a reason!
